    The El Paso Municipal Police Officers' Association is hosting its 19th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Lone Star Golf Course (Cielo Vista). The 4-person per team scramble tournament will kickoff with a 10:30 AM “shotgun start.” The annual tournament is a fundraiser to benefit the EPMPOA's Ben Ayala Scholarship Fund. The cost is $85.

    Johnson Controls Contract Extended
    07/29/15 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
    July 29, 2015 - The contract between IBEW Local Union 21 and Johnson Controls has been extended until August 31, 2015.  The current contract was set to expire on Friday, July 31, 2015. Talks between union representatives and management have been taking place over the past several weeks. The bargaining sessions have been productive however the teams didn’t feel they would reach an acceptable agreement before the current contract was set to expire. The parties will use the extra time to discuss the remaining issues and are confident a new collective Bargaining Agreement will be reached by August 31, 2015.     Local 2222 has been informed through a reliable source that the LTSD for Copper has been lifted as of today, Tuesday July 28th.  The LTSD is still in place for FIOS even though the load numbers indicated that on Sunday there were 2 more than normal starting numbers and on Monday the starting numbers were well below normal.
